Marchetta M. Rowe

Marchetta M. Rowe, 83 of Huntington passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Majestic Care of West Allen. She was a 1954 graduate of Laketon High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for 31 years as a coil winder in the finishing department at Square D Corporation from 1968 – 1999. She was a member of The Well Church of Huntington. Marchetta enjoyed listening to older country music, The Gaithers and gospel. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was born on September 4, 1936 in Wabash County, the daughter of Alber and Geraldine (Sparks) Haynes. She was united in marriage to Franklyn Rowe on February 28, 1959 in North Manchester. Franklyn preceded her in death on March 21, 2010. Survivors include three sons: Randy (Brenda) Rowe of Fort Wayne; Dennis (Shari) Rowe of Fort Wayne; Gary (Cindy) Rowe of Huntington; three sister in laws: Mollie Clem of Ft. Wayne, Goldie Avey of Portland IN, and Myrtle England of North Manchester; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Donald Haynes and Robert Haynes; a Sister: Jean Kling; and a grandson: Michael Wallace. Visitation will be held on Monday January 27, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Located at 2901 Guilford St. Huntington IN 46750 Funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. There will be one hour of calling time prior to the service. Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
