Wilma D. Meyer, 94 of Huntington passed away at 3:35 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Wilma was a 1942 graduate of West Union High School. She had worked at The Coil Factory and Square D Corporation for 44 years. She was a member of Union Church its Fun Bunch and Willing Hands; she also taught Sunday school for several years and had served as a nurse at church camp. She was a member of LNO Club (ladies night out). Wilma was a member of the Salvation Army. She loved to bake cookies and candy, giving most of them away.
Wilma was born on September 12, 1924, the daughter of Elmer and Hazel (Hite) Felton.
She was united in marriage to George Meyer on May 23, 1948 in Huntington County. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1988.
Survivors include a daughter: Linda (Steven) Bueker of Roanoke; a son: Mike Meyer of Wolf Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Virginia Racette.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel officiated by Pastor David Swaim.
Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Huntington County.
Memorial donations can be made out to Parkview Hospice or Union Church Building Fund both in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
