Obituario de Dr. Bradley A Baetsle, D.D.S
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Bradley A. Baetsle, D.D.S. who departed from this world on April 10, 2024. He was 83 years old. Brad was born on June 1, 1940, in Williamsport, PA to August A. and Mary June (Castleman) Baetsle. Raised in Mishawaka, Indiana, he attended Mishawaka High School, graduating in 1958. Thereafter, he attended Indiana University achieving his undergraduate degree, designation in Phi Eta Sigma, and proceeded to Indiana University School of Dentistry. His successes included membership in the Theta Theta Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Psi Omega Fraternity Supreme Council. He graduated with honors in 1965. In his continued pursuits, Brad began Orthodontic post-doctorate in 1966. To his fortune, he grabbed an elevator in the union building and met the true love of his life, Andrea. After denying her use of his car, they fell in love and married in August 1966. Brad was soon after called into service by the United States Army, serving in Cu Chi, Vietnam until 1968. He returned home to Indianapolis, to his first son (Rob) and an Indiana University Rose Bowl Championship. Settling in Speedway, and then Indianapolis, Brad lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. He proudly ran his Orthodonture practice on the west side for over 37 years, providing perfect smiles for hundreds while fitting in the day-to-day craziness that comes with a large family. Throughout his life, Brad played sports coach to many, a volunteer at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and a respected member and volunteer at Speedway Christian Church. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. Whether it was his professional endeavors, community involvement, or personal relationships, he approached everything with integrity and commitment. Brad will be fondly remembered by his family as a role model, a gifted videographer, a celebrated dancer, and an unsung comedic star. He had a contagious laugh, a warm smile, and a genuine interest in the happiness of others. His presence brought joy and comfort to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt. Mostly, he will be remembered as a quiet man who loved God and his family. Brad is survived by his wife Andrea, children Robert (Monica) of Dunedin, FL, Charles Carey of Indianapolis, IN, Emily Wann (Jeff) of Indianapolis, IN, Jennifer Moorman (Matthew) of Indianapolis IN, and grandchildren Madison Caplinger, Madalaine Wann, Ryan Baetsle, Ashley Baetsle, Mia Wann, Ashton Caplinger, Christopher Baetsle, and Aria Caplinger. He is preceded in death by his parents August Arthur and Mary June Baetsle, as well as his brother August E. Baetsle, sister-in-law Rebecca Patterson, and niece Cheryl Baestle. The family invites everyone to continue celebrating the life of Brad with a meal at Speedway Christian Church immediately following the service at Crown Hill National Cemetery. May he rest in peace, knowing his impact on us all will never be forgotten. Note: Apparently, IU didn’t win the Rose Bowl but the Cubs did win the World Series! Miss you already! A memorial service to celebrate the life of Brad will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Speedway Christian Church, 5110 W 14th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224, followed by a Memorial service at 12:00 PM and a processional to Crown Hill National Cemetery at 1:15 PM. Military honors service (Crown Hill National Cemetery) at 2:00 PM.
