Gwen Antionette Waterford was born on May 24,1963 in Indianapolis Indiana to
Charlie and Omega Waterford Jr.
Gwen attended IPS 38, and Arsenal Tech High School. She finished her education in California where she spent most of her adult life. She really loved California.
She confessed her love for God at a early age. She was baptized and attended Community Baptist Church in Indianapolis IN. She loved the Lord so much that she would quote and pass out bible verses to anyone she would meet.
Gwen was a professional model in California and a fitness trainer when she
returned to Indianapolis. She was a published poet.
Gwen loved to sing, dance, write poetry, read the bible and dogs.
Gwen had a smile that could light a room up. She liked talking to people and telling them about the love of God.
Gwen’s parents and brother Stanley Oliver preceded her in death.
Gwen received her wings on September 19th 2020 at the age of 57 after
fighting Crohn’s Disease for many years.
Gwen leaves to cherish her memory siblings Delores Pat (LaVerno) Bentley, Carl (Karen) Waterford, Janet (William) Waterford, Michael (Charlotte) Waterford and Jeffery Williams.
Two nephews that were very special to her, Mark Bradley and Desmond Waterford. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside Service for Gwen will take place 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Sutherland Park Cemetery, 4201 Millersville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana.
