Irene Marie Yacko

Irene Marie Yacko, age 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. Irene was a graduate of Indiana University. She was a member of St Simon’s Catholic Church and had been a founding member of St Matthew Catholic Church. She was a docent for the Indianapolis Museum of Art for 21 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dr. Michael L Yacko and her grandson, Dr. Peter O’Neil. She is survived by her 4 children: Melinda O’Neil (Dr. Patrick O’Neil), Dr. Michael S. Yacko (Ruth), Mary Anne Tague, PhD (Kenneth) and Dr. Mark Yacko as well as her 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1PM at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Chapel, 9001 Haverstick Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46240. A service is to follow at 1 PM. Irene will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
