Jack Coleman Board

JACK COLEMAN BOARD Jack Coleman Board passed away on March 31, 2021. Jack was born on September 30, 1927 in Petersburg, Indiana to William Thomas Board and Nettie (Coleman) Board. He was married to Carole Jayne (Taylor) Board on November 4, 1955 and became the proud parent to 6 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Jack attended Princeton (IN) High School, where he was Captain of the Basketball team and the Football team. After a brief stint in the Army Air Force, he went on to college at Indiana University Bloomington, earning a B.A. in 1957. He was a member of the Bloomington Fire Department from 1960 to 1962, then became a Fire Protection Engineer for 23 years, retiring in 1990. Through the years he and Jayne built a student rental business at IU called Board Rentals, following the example of Jayne's mother, Lillie (Taylor) Voelker. They thoroughly enjoyed renting to students from all around the world.
