 Obituario de Joan Margaret Tetrick
Joan Margaret Tetrick, age 87, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Joan was born November 6, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Mary Alice (Clendenning) Hansen and Harold C. Hansen. She is preceded in death by her brother, John Hansen. Joan attended St. Joan of Arc and St. Agnes Academy before graduating from Shortridge High School and attending Indiana University. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and then St. Luke Catholic Church before joining St. Pius X Catholic Church. Her grandchildren will remember their “Nanny” as a lipstick lover, avid shopper, gardener, and always put together (even to get the mail). She was a loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a woman of faith, even in her final moments. Her faith was something we admired. We knew there was always a prayer for us during mass. Some of our fondest memories of her were from family vacations. She was our family matriarch, and the glue that held us together. Joan is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Tetrick, Sr.; sons, Richard Lee Tetrick Jr. (Susan) and David Tetrick (Helen); sister, Jean Jones (Tom); sister in-law, Carolee Hansen; and grandchildren, Matthew Tetrick (Kumiko), Kathryn Tetrick, Anne Tetrick, Lee Anne Charleston (Scott), Katie Tasci (Mehmet), Grace Marchal, Natalie Marchal, and Katie Marchal. The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at Community Hospital, especially Dr. Delumpa and Dr. Michelle Miller. They would also like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice and the caregivers at ComForCare. Their care enabled her to spend her final days at home surrounded by family and friends. Visitation for Joan will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the church with entombment to follow at Hamilton Memorial Park, Westfield, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's memory may be made to Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, 7201 Girl Scout Ln, Indianapolis, Indiana 46214, www.girlscoutsindiana.org or St. Vincent de Paul, 3001 E 30th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46218, svpindy.com.
