Mother Mary Baymon Gayden was born on May5, 1919 to Anthony and Johnnie Baymon in Carrollton, MS.
Her husband Willie Rebbie Gayden, and her siblings, Louise Johnson, Luella Gomiller, Janie Elam, Mae Bell Cleveland, and James Baymon all preceded her in death.
She was a member of Springhill Church for many years and she later joined Greater Gethsemane M. B. Church in Indianapolis, IN where she was a member until the time of her death.
She was united in holy matrimony to Willie Rebbie Gayden. They later moved to Indianapolis, IN.
Mother Gayden worked for many years on her job until she retired. She enjoyed baking and shopping.
In 2016 she moved to Dolton, IL with her niece Georgia Williams, where she lived until she made her transition. Lilly Francis, Roxie Hill, Isbell St. Clair, and Jalyn Smith assisted in caring for her.
She leaves to cherish her memories her stepson Walter (Velma) Gayden of Detroit, MI, and her sister in laws Mary West of Indianapolis, IN and Dorothy Clay of Calumet City, IL. Her dear friends Mary Fuqua, James Harvey, and Mattie Welch of Indianapolis, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends.
