Albert “Al” W. Jr. Biehle, 79, Kokomo, passed peacefully on his birthday May 19th, 2018 at 9:10pm.
Al was born on May 19th, 1939 to John Albert and Jessie May (Pack) Biehle in North Vernon, IN.
On February 21st, 1959 Al married Sue Burnett.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Sue, children Albert W. Biehle III, Kokomo, Edward W. (Karen) Biehle, Monrovia, and Kristina S. (Sean) Quatermus, Colorado, brothers, Joe Biehle, Jack Biehle, Kentucky, and Jerry (Louise) Biehle, Colorado, and sister-in-law, Brenda (DeWayne) Madson, Iowa. Al is also survived by five grandchildren Alicia, Monica, Toby, Kay, and Vanessa; ten great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and cousins that call him uncle.
Al has been a member of the Carpenter’s Union 615 for 61 years. After retiring in late 2001, Al worked at the Indianapolis Speedway for 28 years, never missing a race. He collected caps, belt buckles, and pins from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Al and Sue portrayed Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Lincoln in the Kokomo Sesquicentennial Celebration for many years. Al enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling in his spare time. Al was an honorary President of the Eagles, where he was a member since 1971. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Jessie, grandparents Henry and Julia Steel, three brothers and one sister.
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart and Lung Association.
Services will be Saturday May 26th, 2018 at 11:00am at Ellers Mortuary, Main Street (725 S Main Street, Kokomo, IN 46901) with Pastor Joel officiating. Family and friends may visit from 4:00-8:00pm on Friday May 25th, 2018 and one hour prior to service. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
