James Junior King

James Junior King of Kokomo passed away Sunday January 20, 2019 at the age of 79. He was born June 5, 1939 to the late James and Lena (Anthony) King. On October 26, 1964, Jim married his "Dear", Mary Alice (Walker) King in Kokomo. She survives him. Jim was a 19 86 graduate of Lewis Cass high school with a GED . He worked for Continental Steel in production for 28 years and Erik's Chevrolet for 15 years. Jim retired in 2006. NASCAR was one sport that Jim enjoyed to watch. He went to church when he could, and was always reading the Bible. Jim enjoyed the times he spent with his grandkids and loved them so much. Surviving him is his wife of 54 years, Mary, daughter Stephanie King, sons James H. King and Thomas King (Stephanie), sister Mary Bass, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren . Those who have passed before Jim are his parents, five brothers, and 3 sisters. A Memorial Service will take place Thursday January 24, 2019 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel at 6:00pm. Friends may visit with the family prior from 4-6pm. Rev Seth Koon will officiate.
