 Obituario de Max M. Mundell
Max Marlin Mundell, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Festus, Missouri. He was born in Forest, Indiana on July 2, 1929 to the late Owen and Mildred (Foreman) Mundell. Following high school, Max was drafted into the United States Army, and served as an Airborne Paratrooper. After he was honorably discharged from the military, Max went to work for Haynes International in Kokomo where he worked as a supervisor, retiring in 1982. Max was married to the love of his life, Nita (Martin) on September 11, 1947 at her sister’s house in Lebanon, Indiana, and she survives. Max was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Quarter Century Club. His favorite passions included camping, mushroom hunting, fishing, metal detecting, woodworking, and gardening. Above all, Max was a family man, and loved making memorable moments with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Nita Mundell, Max is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Leesa) Mundell, and Sherry (Marty) Brown; siblings, Donald Mundell, Judy Flick, Jerry Mundell, and Ricky Mundell; grandchildren, Kyle Brown, Trenton Brown, Thisa Coffin, Matthew Mundell, Jacob Mundell, and Cayce Mundell; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Coffin, Kandance Coffin, Grant Mangin, Reese Mangin, Jayden Brown, Riley Brown, Averi Brown, Kylie Brown, Gavin Mundell, and Abby Brown. In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in passing by three siblings, Billy Mundell, Maxine Connor, and Richard Mundell. There will be a visitation for Max on Tuesday, July 16th from 4-7 pm at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo. A second visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 17th from 12-1 pm, with a funeral service immediately following.
