Nathaniel Crew Tennent, 97 of Kokomo, passed away Wednesday October 16, 2019 at Bloom assisted living. He was born November 27, 1921 to the late William and Anna (Gibbons) Tennent in Kokomo. He married Virginia Kinsey on November 8, 1947 in Kokomo. She passed away July 22, 2016. Nat graduated from high school and then enlisted in the United States Army October 21, 1942. He was a WWII vet, serving under General Patton in Europe. Nat was honorably discharged July 30, 1945. He began working for Globe, then United Tool & Die, and he finished his career, retiring March 31, 1987 at Delco Electronics. He loved to do stained glass work and produced many beautiful pieces including a window for a church in Greentown. He was an Indianapolis Pacers fan. Nat was loved by all his family. He made many great friends through out his lifetime. Nat was always ready to give a helping hand to those in need. The family extends a special thank you to all those who cared for Nat at Bloom. Surviving him are his daughter Jennifer Brotherton (Ron), son Randy Tennent (Julie), grandchildren Randy Nathaniel Tennent, Kristie Barna (John), Amy Snyder, and four great grandchildren Riley, Zander, Landon Barna, and Cody Snyder and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, wife Virginia, and 6 brothers and sisters. A funeral service for Nat will take place at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel; 725 S. Main Street in Kokomo, Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 1pm. Gathering for friends and family will be prior from 11am to 1pm. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden cemetery. If you wish to leave a contribution in Nat's memory, do so towards next year's Walk to Remember for the Alzheimer's Association in Kokomo.
