Rev. Seth L. Baker, Sr., 67, Kokomo, left this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, surrounded by his family and friends at his home. He was born February 5, 1943, in Kokomo, to Charles L. and Vivian (Willis) Baker. On November 3, 1961, he married Linda Christie, and she survives.
He served in the United States Army National Guard from 1960 to 1961 and in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. He worked at Delco for 31 years retiring in 2001 and also served as a clergy member at St. Joseph Hospital.
In addition to his wife, Linda Baker, he is survived by two sons, Seth Baker, Jr., and Johnny E. Baker and his wife Lila; two daughters, Belinda A. Arredondo and her husband Anthony, and Anna D. Baker; fifteen grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Baker, Mike Baker and his wife Kathy, and Randy Baker and his wife Donna; and three sisters, Marilyn McKinney, Maudie Faucett and her husband John, and Sharon Bagwell and her husband Robert.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanda Baker.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Lehmon Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be made at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
