Margaret Rose Whiteaker, 68, of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, in Union County, Indiana after a courageous battle with cancer. Rose was born to Floyd and Betty Lou Fox on November 28, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio. She married the love of her life, Oscar Whiteaker on October 11, 1978. Among other occupations, Rose was employed in the paint department at General Motors for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed working puzzles, taking trips to the casino, going camping, and traveling with her adoring husband. Rose had a positive energy that always surrounded her. She was a proud sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who loved nothing more than spending her time with her family. In addition to her husband of forty-five years: Oscar, Rose will be deeply missed by her children and their spouses: Stephanie and Jason Blankenship, O.J. and Christa Whiteaker, Laura and Mark Gibson, Kim and Andrew Staffan, Christopher and Kim Whiteaker; grandchildren and their spouses: Katey and Kris McArthur, Nikole Blankenship and her significant other Nick, Cyndi Blankenship, Shelby and Carsen Alber, Trey and Starr Whiteaker, Mason Stout, Alex Whiteaker, Sophia Whiteaker, Bethanny and Kyle McDermott, Justin King, Will Boehm, Joe Boehm, Hannah Gibson, Madison Gibson and her significant other Austyn, Bentley Gibson, Lexi Wilson, Mckenna Staffan, Harper Whiteaker, Michael Perkins; great-grandchildren: Rhett McDermott, Khloe King, Witten Alber; three brothers; four sisters; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Rose is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Betty Lou. A celebration of Rose’s life will be conducted on Friday, April 12, 2024, at The Monroe Library Community Center, 6 East Ave., Monroe, Ohio 45050. Friends may visit at the community center from 3:00 p.m., until 8:00p.m. The family request any physical gifts, such as flowers, wind chimes, etc. be delivered to the Whiteaker Family at 206 Lee Drive Monroe, Ohio 45050. Memorial contributions may be made to Reid Hospice in Rose’s honor. Showalter Blackwell Long, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty has been entrusted with arrangements.
