Ann Megginson Hicks

Ann Megginson Hicks of Lynchburg, our very dear loved one, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the age of 79. Born on July 27, 1939 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Mamie C. Megginson. Preceding her in death was her husband of 60 years, Ronald Edward Hicks; a baby son, a granddaughter and a brother. She leaves behind two children, Tim Hicks and Diana Pitts; two grandchildren, Lance Hicks and Cristal Woods; a great grandson, Braeden Hicks; Charlene McManus, who she thought of just like a daughter; a very special sister, Margie Trent and husband Sam Trent; a brother, Kenneth Megginson; special friend and sister-in-law, Carolyn Garraghty; brother-in-law, Robert Hicks as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Rev. Carlton Duck officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 – 6:00 prior to the service. Memorials in Ann’s honor may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church, 411 Blue Ridge Street, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
