Maxine Lois Sheffey Chapman

Maxine Lois Sheffey Chapman, 83, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Bobby Lee Chapman. Born April 20, 1937, in Ukon, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis Sheffey and the late Irene Shannon Sheffey. Maxine was a retired nurse’s aide for the Central Virginia Training Center and a member of Lynchburg First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her husband and parents, Maxine was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Sheffey, Mary S. Citty and Sandra S. Talbott. Maxine is survived by three children, Sharon K. Campbell (Randy) of Appomattox, Walter Joe Ketz, Jr. (Pansy) of Lynchburg and William Jeffrey Ketz (Stephanie) of Lynchburg; three siblings, Donald Sheffey and his wife Essie of Rustburg, John Sheffey Lynchburg and Evelyn S. Tomlin of Lynchburg; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and other loving family members and friends. Services will be private.
