Delora Barnett Barnett Staples

Delora Barnett Staples, 82, of Madison Heights, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Roy Andrew Staples. Born on July 22, 1935, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Campbell Frederick and Edna Bland Barnett and was also preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Barnett. She was a retired Life Insurance Agent with State Farm Insurance Company and was of Methodist faith. Mrs. Staples is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Woodley (James Kendrick) of Appomattox, and Anita Corbett (Glenn) of Madison Heights; a sister, Cynthia Welcher of Virgilina; four grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. A gathering to celebrate Mrs. Staples’ life will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights.
