Donald Lee Barbour

Donald Lee “Donnie” Barbour, 73, of Martinsville passed away on January 13, 2019. He was born October 15, 1945 to the late James Wayne Barbour and Beulah Finney Barbour. Donnie was a loving father, husband, and all around great guy. Donnie was an award winning salesman for Bassett Furniture and Bassett Mirror. Prior to that he was a history teacher, utilizing his degree from Guilford College. Donnie is survived by his wife; Dathne Blackard Barbour, daughter; Reverend Amanda B. Harris (Chad), son; Brad Barbour (Laura), sister; Deborah B. Robinson (George “Sonny”), brother; Jerry W. Barbour (Susan), two nieces and two nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Lisa Nordan, Ben R. Williams, and Rev. Amanda Harris officiating. The visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
