So many amazing memories especially at the beach years ago. Shirley always had the best smile and laugh and she was loved by so many. She will be very missed but her legacy will live on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her family and we loved her.

Ken and I want to extend our sincerest condolences on the death of Shirley. She was one of the finest women that I ever knew. She loved her family and especially loved all children. When we lived on Murphy Road and our daughter was born, she found the perfect gift for Allison - a little rag doll that she could hold and chew on as she sat in her baby swing. I was working at Fieldcrest with Bill until I left at the end of 1997 so I watched your family grow. Shirley was always there smiling with pride at her family. God bless each of you.

What can I say for such a wonderful lady-my mother, Jeanne's, best friend. Bill and Shirley were both people I admired, a loving couple and true friends. They came to Richmond when my mother was dying and provided great strength and compassion. Shirley was a pleasure to have as a neighbor. Most people don't know this, but when I was a teenager, someone called my house and scared me in the middle of the night. Shirley jumped out of bed, came to my house and took me home making sure I was safe. I know that she performed many kindnesses that we know nothing about, because she did much for me and my family. We will miss her.

I have many fond memories of growing up on Ridge Rd with all of you. Your mom was a big part of a very happy childhood. I'll always remember both of our moms watching the soap operas every afternoon and many happy visits at our kitchen table. I'm so glad I was able to visit both your parents a couple of summers back. My condolences to all of you. Susan Bazakas Kontoleon and Anthony Kontoleon

I always thought of Shirley as one of the kindest persons I've ever known. She was a joy to be around. My only regret is I wish I could have spent more time with her. God is getting a great addition to Heaven.
