Mechanicsville, VA – Margaret “Margie” Merkel Werner of Mechanicsville, passed away, Monday, May 15, 2017 at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center. “Margie” was born in North Bergen, New Jersey on August 3, 1920 to August Charles and Dundee Margaret Boisson Merkel. She had worked for the Federal Reserve during World War II, a homemaker for many years and then Lawyers Title until retirement. “Margie” is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Werner Glaubinger; grandsons, Benjamin Glaubinger and Daniel Glaubinger (Sauce Leon); as well as friends and neighbors. She is preceded in death by her sister, Eleanore Ochs; brother-in-law, Fred A. Ochs; niece, Dundee Jarvis and nephew, Fred C. Ochs. Visitation for Margaret “Margie” Merkel Werner will be 11:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m., Friday, May, 19, 2017 At Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116.
