 Obituario de Jane C. Mulvihill
Mulvihill, Jane Ellen Cignarelli, 76 of Bon Air, Virginia, departed this life on 4 June, 2018. She was the only child of Edith Willow Davis and Anthony Maria Cignarelli and she was born on 25 October, 1941 in Elyria, Ohio. The family moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1949 settling in Lakeside. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, William Matthew Mulvihill whom she met at a “nurses-soldiers dance” at Ft. Lee, Virginia in 1960. The couple was married 1 September, 1962 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Ginter Park. Jane graduated from Hermitage High School in 1959 and Stuart Circle School of Nursing in 1961 and was an alumni member of both communities. She was a proud military spouse, mother, and Registered Nurse. Jane was a member of the St. Matthias’ Episcopal Church of Midlothian and volunteered monthly in the church’s food pantry. She was an avid gardener, phenomenal cook, spent many days a week taking continuing educating classes at Life Long Learning Institute of Chesterfield and learned acrylic and water color painting later in life; often painting her own Christmas cards. She is survived by her three children, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren: Anne M. Mulvihill; William M. Mulvihill II, his wife Heather B. and their sons 2nd LT James P. Mulvihill (of Tucson, AZ) and Matthew A. Mulvihill; and Nancy Mulvihill and her daughter Victoria M. Mulvihill, all of Bon Air. Services will be held at St. Matthias’ on 18 June at 1:30 PM. The family will hold a visitation on June 17, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Woody Funeral Home – Huguenot Chapel. To celebrate Jane’s love of art and flowers and to honor her last request, the family respectfully asks that black not be worn at the funeral. She will be interred at a later date at St. Edward’s Catholic Church columbarium in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations in Jane’s name to one of the following Charities: The Stuart Circle Nursing Association, Life Long Learning Institute of Chesterfield, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, or Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
