Louis Henry DuVal

Went home to his Savior on January 15, following a long, heroic battle with Cancer. Louis is the son of the Late Major H.E. and Philippa DuVal. He was a 1972 graduate of Meadowbrook HS and a graduate of the University of Phoenix. Early in his career, Louis worked for The Richmond News Leader as a District Circulation Manager. Most of his career was spent as a concrete inspector, first with VDOT, and later for a series road building firms, most recently HNTB. In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by his brother, Walter and cousin Henry. He is survived by sisters Robin Clanton and Anne Edge; brothers, Hilary E. “Yogi” DuVal, Jr. (Maryann) and John DuVal (Carol). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 27, of 2021 at 1 pm at Sacred Heart Church, 1400 Perry Street Richmond, VA 23224 followed by a Burial at Maury Cemetery in Richmond.
