William Crawley Kreye

William Crawley Kreye, Ph.D., P.E., 69, of Prospect, Virginia, passed away, Monday, November 13, 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife of 25 years Nancy Kreye, and is survived by his children, William Charles Kreye II (Jessica Kreye), Katharina Kreye Alcorn (James Alcorn), and John Joseph Kreye (Fallon Kreye), and seven grandchildren. Dr. Kreye was a 1970, 1971 (Masters), and 1974 (Ph.D.) graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in Civil & Environmental Engineering, and practiced as a Professional Engineer for 47 years, in the environmental water/wastewater industry. Over that career, he had the honor of working for VPI, Olver Inc., Hatcher-Sayer Inc., ERM, Draper Aden Associates, and Kreye-Blankenship, P.C., where he interacted with many professionals and jurisdictions throughout the U.S. Dr. Kreye was a third generation farmer and avid sportsman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, Monday, November 20, 2017, at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, in Prospect, Virginia, with interment at Prospect Community Cemetery.
