Connie Lee Profitt

Connie Lee (Trowbridge) Profitt, 79, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Muncie on Tuesday, August 12, 1941, the daughter of Glen and Lillian (Thompson) Trowbridge. She married Willie Lee Profitt, and he passed away March of 2018. Connie graduated from Muncie Central High School and was a devoted Bearcat. Early in her career, she worked as a Teacher’s Aide for Monroe Central Schools. Later, she became the Assistant to the Registrar at Anderson University, and worked there until she retired. Connie was an avid skater in her younger years. She joined competitions and hung out at Gibson Skating Rink. Connie also played the piano and an accordion. She was everyone’s Mom, and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed shopping online thru LTD, and was a good cook. Everyone loved her ham salad and dumplings. Connie loved to go camping, and made lots of friends wherever she went. She was a huge Pacers and Colts fan. The family always gathered for the Sunday Colts game and a dinner. Her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas, but she enjoyed any excuse to cook for the family. She loved her dogs and her cat, Rummy. Connie is survived by her daughter, Kerri (Tim) Donovan; her sons, Dale Profitt (Lindsay Roberts), and Scott (Rose) Profitt; grandchildren, Andy Williams, Angela Day, Allen Donovan, Aaron Profitt, Austin Profitt, Adam Profitt, Andrew Profitt, and Trenten Roberts; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Profitt; her parents, Glen and Lillian Trowbridge; and her sister, Shirley Meyer. Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required. Services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Drews will officiate. Burial will be immediately following at Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society, 2219 Crystal Street, Anderson, Indiana 46012.
