Doris M. Schrader

Doris Madonna Schrader, 89, Muncie, passed away Saturday evening, December 8, 2018, at Yorktown Manor with her loving niece, Lisa at her side. She was born Monday, October 14, 1929, in Yorktown, the daughter of William Clarence and Dorothy Myrtle (Hammer) McGlaughlin. Doris Madonna was a loyal wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a faithful follower of Christ and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her son, Mark (wife Janet) Schrader; daughter, Carolyn (husband Nick) Williams; five grandchildren, Ashley Schrader, Mark (wife Farrah) Schrader, Matthew (wife Tara) Williams, David (wife Andrea) Williams, and Suzanne Gitt; eight great-grandchildren, Luke Schrader, Logan Schrader, Blake Williams, Jack Williams, Julie Williams, Joscelyn Williams, Sydney Gitt, and Jonah Gitt; sister-in-law, Carole McGlaughlin; several nieces and nephews; and her loving canine companion, Wally, who has been cared for by her special friends, Fred and Jincie Weems. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clarence and Dorothy Myrtle McGlaughlin; husband, Charles Daren Schrader; son, Charles Daren Schrader; two brothers, Melbert McGlaughlin and Clarence Marshall McGlaughlin; and her half-sister, Anna Lee Wattell. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Forest Park Church of the Nazarene, 2105 West Memorial Drive, Muncie, Indiana 47302, with Pastor David Delk officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Forest Park Church of the Nazarene.
