Jeffery Burden

Muncie-Jeffery A. Burden, 57, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, January 25, 1961, the son of Jerry L. Burden, Sr. and Barbara (Harmon) Paris, in Muncie, Indiana. Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a carpenter for many years. Jeff loved fishing, hunting, cooking, and music. He is survived by his mother, Barbara (Harmon) Paris; brothers, Gary Burden and Kevin (Allisha) Burden; sisters, Christina (Terry) Winningham and Nikki (companion, Brian) Burden; step-mother, Nancy Burden; step-sisters, Robin (Tony) Richardson, Cheryl (Billy) Phillips, Karen (Ray) Stout, and Tracy (Mike) Stacy; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. Jeff was preceded in death by his father; brother, Jerry L. Burden, Jr.; step-father, Harry Paris. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Little Red Door and I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospice for their care and compassion during Jeffery’s illness. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue Muncie, Indiana 47304 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Jeffery’s memory to the Little Red Door, 2311 West Jackson Street, Muncie, Indiana 47303.
