Nettie F. Turner

Nettie F. Turner, 93, of Brown County passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 20, 1924 in Indianapolis to Isom and Mary Willoughby. She had owned a grocery store in Indianapolis before retiring to Brown County. Nettie was a long time and faithful member of Pikes Peak Church of Christ, a devoted and loving wife for 50 years and was greatly loved by her family and many many friends. Survivors include her daughter; Norma Martens of Brown County, a grandson; Greg Hoone and his wife Andrea, four great grandchildren; Jessica, Justin, Joshua and Jeremy Hoone, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Lee Turner, three brothers; Raymond Willoughby, Kenneth Willoughby and Herman Willoughby, and a sister; Bertha Hodge. Graveside Services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Christiansburg Cemetery with Charles Wright officiating. Following the burial there will be a Celebration of Life with a meal provided at The Crossing Church, 8728 S. Nineveh Rd, Nineveh, IN 46124.
