Charles Edward "Charlie" Stivers

Charles Edward “Charlie” Stivers, 80, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Diversicare of Providence in New Albany, Indiana. The son of the late James and Beulah Downey Stivers, Charlie was born August 27, 1939 in Henry County, Kentucky. He was retired from Neill-LaVielle Supply Company in Louisville, Kentucky. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Coleman, William, and Donald Stivers; and sister, Daphnie Horn. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy C. (Friedley) Stivers; daughter, Shannon League (Harold); son, Ed Stivers (Karla); step-children, Brenda Berryman (Tim), Nancy Emtiaz (Reza), and Samuel Gafford; sister, Geneva Broadway (John); brothers, Al and David (Judy) Stivers; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. Visitation will be 2 pm ~ 6:30 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His Funeral Service will be 6:30 pm Friday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
