Robert L. Thiele

Robert L Thiele, 76, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne. He was born March 25, 1945 in Fort Wayne, son of the late Louis C. and Lida E. (Heckler) Thiele. Robert worked as a farmer as well as having worked at the Kroger Warehouse for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He served in the Army Reserves and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Surviving him are his son, Bradley (Kim) Thiele of Fort Wayne; sister, Marilyn (Robert) Brandt of Summerfield, FL; grandchildren, Kailey Taylor and Braden Thiele; and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris A. (Bruns) Thiele in 1996; and sons, Jason Thiele and Rodney Thiele. Funeral service will be on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation for Robert will be also be Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, Indiana 46777. Burial will be at St. Mark Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions in Robert's memory may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
