Ellen Crigler Berryman

BERRYMAN, Ellen Crigler, 92, of Henrico, Virginia, originally from Madison County, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on November 30, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Raymond Matthew Berryman Jr.; children, Charles Matthew (Lori) and Mary Coughlin-Lainez; grandchildren, Daniel Matthew, Parker Ryan (Kaitlin); great-grandchildren, Savannah Ellen and Parker Ryan Jr.; and numerous extended family members. Ellen was a charter member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 361. A mother to all, she was renowned for her pies and cookies which she created with nary a recipe, and her abundant garden. Known to her loved ones and acquaintances as “Meme,” she leaves us all with hearts filled with loving memories. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Epiphany Lutheran Church from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 10 a.m., followed by interment in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ellen's name to Epiphany Lutheran Church.
