FLUKER, Thomas Randall, III, departed from us to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 14, 2018. A resident of Virginia for over 40 years, Tom never forgot his south Georgia roots where he grew up. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Eutanaha; two sons, T.R. (Anita) and Ray (Sarah); four grandchildren; and his sister, Francina (Paul Sanders) of Columbus, Ga. Tom received his B.S. in industrial engineering from Auburn University and his M.S. in computer science from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. A longtime employee of Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies in Richmond, he was later employed by Capitol One and retired from Wells Fargo Advisors. Long a member of New Bridge Baptist Church, he served as a deacon for 40 years. Throughout his life, Tom donated his computer and woodworking skills and volunteer time to Boy Scouts of America, Eastern Henrico FISH, Habitat for Humanity, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, and Telephone Pioneers of America. Tom was a “go-to” guy and he will be missed greatly by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Bridge Baptist Church Endowment Fund, 5701 Elko Road, Sandston, Va. 23150. Family and friends will celebrate his life at a memorial service at New Bridge Baptist Church on Sunday, April 22, at 3 p.m. Family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. and following the service. Online condolences may be made at nelsenrichmond.com.
