Irene V Sikes

Irene Virginia Sikes of Burke, Virginia, passed away on September 13, 2020 in Burke, Virginia. Irene was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania to John and Edna McIntyre on October 1, 1926. She married John Leonard, III, who passed away in 1972. Irene later met Alton Sikes while living in Florida and they married. Irene is preceded in death by Alton Sikes. She is survived by her son John Leonard, IV (wife Terry) of Burke, Virginia, sister Betty Reber (husband George) of California, 3 grandchildren (John Leonard V, Christina and Joshua) and numerous nieces and nephews. A private service for the family will be held at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, Virginia. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ocala, Florida. The family wishes to extend our thanks to the staff at Burke Health Care who took care of her these past 2 years. The family also thanks each of you for expressing your love to us with a word, card, flowers or caring gesture during this time. We thank you for every prayer you have said on our behalf.
