 Obituario de Ada Florence Parman
Ada Florence Parman, 88, of Stafford passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017. She was born on 25 November 1929 in London, England. She served in the British Royal Army for 5 years just after World War II and was a member of her regiment’s Competitive Shooting Team, competing in many championships in her time. She left military service upon her marriage to Arthur in 1952 and gave birth to their only daughter on 31 July 1956. Her career spanned many fields, from pharmaceutical assistant to office manager but her biggest accomplishment was the 25 years of service she gave to the British Gas Company, working her way up from Accounts Manager to Senior Vice President, ultimately retiring in July 1990. Ada and Arthur moved to the United States in early 1992, specifically to Seattle, WA, to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law, and baby granddaughter (Brittany). Ada was the proverbial animal lover and contributed to a number of animal charities. She loved her daily ritual of going out to the front yard and feeding the squirrels and deer that came calling. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Arthur E. Parman; her daughter, Lesley Ecker and husband Rick; her granddaughters, Brittany Cooke and Rileigh Ecker, and her sister, Joyce Hill of Canvey Island, England. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ada Rebecca Stamp, and stepfather, Robert Stamp. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.act.alz.org/donate.
