Clara L Hatfield

Clara Marie (Limbrunner) Hatfield passed away on January 25, 2023 in Stafford County, Virginia. She was born in Buffalo, New York to John and Violet (Geddes) Limbrunner and had three siblings: Charles (Naomi); Gordon (Carolyn); and Elizabeth Midea (Domenic). She was the wife of James Edward Hatfield for 57 years prior to his passing in 2013. Clara was a member of the Summit Presbyterian Church, where she was on the fellowship committee and a member of “The Graduates”. She was a previous resident of Ocala, Florida and Glen Burnie, Maryland. While living in Florida, Clara was active in the Ocala Civilian Emergency Response Team, a certified amateur radio operator, and greatly enjoyed performing with the Palm Cay community lip-sync group known as “Alter Egos”. While living in Glen Burnie, she was active in scouting as a den mother, youth sports as a team mother, and with the American Red Cross. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Walden Star Chapter. Clara spent countless hours immersed in her favorite hobby of cross-stitching projects for family and friends. She leaves behind sons: Roy (Ramona) of Pasadena, MD; David (Claire) of Middletown, CT; Steven (Anna Sue) of Baltimore, MD; John (Barbara) of San Antonio, TX; and Roger (Mya) of Stafford, VA. She is also leaving behind 15 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren (23rd on the way), and was expecting her first Great-Great-Grandchild. She was loved by all who knew her and left a smile on everyone's face. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, Clara requested donations to Summit Presbyterian Church in Stafford, VA. A memorial service will be scheduled at Summit Presbyterian Church in the near future.
