Locie Rose Buckner

Locie Rose (Ferris) Buckner, 100, passed away October 28, 2018 in Effingham, Illinois. She was born February 22, 1918 in Washington to John and Effie (Davis) Ferris. Locie enjoyed crocheting, knitting and loved a good competitive game of canasta. Locie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester F. Buckner; her son, C. Frank Buckner Jr.; her siblings, Elvie M. (Ferris) Smith, Russell Franklin Ferris, Ollie Floyd Ferris, Oringie Lloyd Ferris, Ruby Wanita Walton, Cecil Curtis Ferris, and David Leslie Ferris. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hand; grandchildren Jana (Christopher) Martin, Amber (Tom) Gray, Steven Buckner, David (Judie) Buckner, Sara (Justin) Beyers; and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:00am – 12:00pm on November 18, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Terre Haute, Indiana.
