EN EL CUIDADO DE
Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Paula Louise Johnson, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at her son’s home in Williamsburg, VA. She was surrounded by people who loved her, even squeezing her granddaughter's hand just before she left this world. Paula was born on December 28, 1946, in Terre Haute to Eugene and Virginia Lemrick.
Paula is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry W. Johnson; son, Joshua M. Johnson and wife LeeAnna; sister, Glenda J. Parks and husband Tony; grandchildren, Tristin and Avia; niece, Shannon Jenkins and husband Scott; great-nephew, Isaiah Jenkins; best friend, Theresa Vaughn; and many other close friends.
She was greeted in Heaven by her parents and a brother Gene Paul Lemrick. Also waiting for Paula were members of her “furry family” that had crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Paula worked for over 30 years at Columbia House. She was a member of Central Christian Church. In her spare time, Paula loved to shop and make sure she hit her Fit Bit step goal by any means necessary, even if it meant cheating a little.
Paula was a wonderful Nana and caregiver. She loved children and filled the role of mother and grandmother to many children that weren’t her own. She loved her pets. Paula had a kind and generous heart. She made the world a better place because of her love of others. She will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 1pm and services will be held at 2pm both at Central Christian Church (4950 Wabash Ave Terre Haute, IN 47803) with Philip Ewoldsen officiating. Paula will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
