Robert Lee Jones Sr.

Robert Lee Jones, Sr., 84, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2021. Mr. Jones was born in Spartenburg, SC on February 2, 1936. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-eight years Levada Jones. He retired as a purchasing agent and supervisor in the Steel Industry and was a faithful member of Parkway Christian Center for more than sixty-five years. He served as a coach of Azalea Little League for twenty-two years where he coached all 3 of his sons. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Robbie Jones and wife Lynn, David Jones, and Doug Jones and wife Dawn; grandchildren Cynthia Hendrix, Christa Mayfield, Julie Hudgins, Erica Taylor, Katlyn Jones and Allison Jones; great grandchildren James Hudgins, Miranda Hudgins, Jossalynn Hendrix, Avenleigh Hendrix, Dresden Hendrix, Alex Janssen, Haley Janssen and Pasco Mayfield. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 10:00a.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home Kempsville Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
