Alexander Ryan “Alex” Diya, 30, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at his residence.
Born February 25, 1991 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL he was the son of Michelle (Cook) Clark and Morgan Joseph Diya. On January 20, 2018 he married Karina Olsen.
Alex was of the Jewish faith. He loved his family and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. As an avid sports fan, he greatly enjoyed cheering on his favorite NFL team the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will be remembered as a loving husband, son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his son, Isaac Diya; maternal great-grandparents, Hank and Janet Picucci; and uncle, Ron Cook.
Survivors include his loving wife, Karina Olsen of Norway; devoted mother and stepfather, Michelle Clark and husband, William of Stuarts Draft; siblings, Michaela Harbinson and Jaime Clark both of Stuarts Draft, and Dylan Sargent of Florida; maternal grandparents, Pat and Rod Cook of Stuart, FL; special cousin, Ronnie Cook of Orlando, FL; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro with Pastor John Hamric officiating.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
