Henry Lee Sipe

Henry Lee Sipe, 82, of Lyndhurst passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born June 30, 1939 in Piedmont, Va he was the son of the late Pete Joe and Nellie Marie (Crowe) Sipe. On February 14, 1960 he married Dorothy Ann Bruce. The two shared a blessed marriage of 61 years. Prior to retirement, Henry was employed by VDOT where he worked as an Equipment Operator for 42 years. He attended both Middlebrook Church of God and Grottoes Church of God. As an avid outdoorsman, Henry greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Woodmen of the World. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Geneva Burton, Lois Rodeffer, Dorothy Gordon, Ethel Shover, and Nancy Sipe. Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Bruce Sipe; daughter, Lorie Kuykendall and husband, Kevin of Grottoes; son, Keith Lee Sipe and wife, Sherry of Waynesboro; sister, Betty Miller of IL; grandchildren, Autumn Crouse, Eric, Marc and Josh Clinedinst, Corey Quick and Madi Sipe; great-grandchildren, Dakota Hogsett, Christian and Destiny Crouse, Meredith, Caiden, Ethan and Damien Clinedinst; and a number of nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Middlebrook Church of God, 3121 Middlebrook Road, Middlebrook, with Pastor Larry Strickler and Pastor Glenn Hughes officiating.
