Jacque Kolb Braddock

Jacque Morris Braddock, 93, of Waynesboro, VA, died peacefully in her daughter’s home, August 11, 2021. Mrs. Braddock was born in Easton, PA on June 25, 1928 and was the daughter of the late John Jackson and Margaret Ellen Snyder. Mrs. Braddock was the wife of Charlie T. Braddock. Together, they traveled extensively, seeing all the historical locations and museums that she read about through the years. She was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1945; and she spent another year at Oak Grove School in Maine. Later, Mrs. Braddock earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. In 1971 she earned her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Virginia. She had a wonderful career as Head Librarian at West Springfield High School, Fairfax County, VA. In her retirement, she stayed active with reading, playing bridge, gardening, enjoying time with her family, and baking her famous Christmas Cookies. Mrs. Braddock is survived by her two daughters, Linda Ann Hostetler and husband Ralph, Carey Jane Harris and husband Royal; stepson Danny Braddock and wife Janeen; two grandsons, Thomas Reynolds and wife Ashley Renee, Daniel Tyler Hostetler; two great-grandchildren, Anne Marie and Grayson Lee Harris. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Braddock was preceded in death by her brother, George McClellan Snyder. One added note was that Mrs. Braddock was a true lady in every sense of the word. A graveside service will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held at Easton Heights Cemetery, Easton, PA.
