What a wonderful service.  I am so sorry for your loss and so many other losses over the last couple of years.  I will keep you in my prayers my friend.  You were a wonderful Mother to Tim.

I worked with Tim at The Nyhart Co... I was there from 1985 to 2006, and then continued my position when Nyhart was merged into Meritain Health until 2009.    Tim knew that I loved M&Ms, and each Christmas he would buy me some type of M&M memorabilia (the red M&M guy) lol.  I still have all of them sitting on my dresser.   He was very shy, but never failed to always have a smile on his face.  I was very sad to hear the news of his passing today.  He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family and friends. 

Dearest Ruth TJ, Bob, Brita,  Patrick, Bill and family, Chris joins me in extending our deepest sympathy and most sincere sorrow to you and yours over the untimely and tragic death of your son, dad, and brother. I remember when he and ( all of you were born except for Bob Jr. ) as my father brought Tim. and you all into the world in Wellesley. I think I remember shortly after his birth Baby Tim accompanied his mother and father  on a business trip to open a  new Sheraton Hotel and the restaurant there was named TIMOTHY'S in his honor!! I hope our strong Catholic faith  will comfort you knowing Tim is away from any earthly suffering and has gone to God which is what we want for those we love. Tim was an employee of mine and I used to think at least weekly that I would like my job if I could have my all my workers to be like him :)  After I left management and that company he was the only one of my staff I kept in touch with.  I treasure the time I was driving through Indiana from Buffalo to Saint Louis and he went out if his way to meet up with me for dinner.  He reminded me of my late grandpa, the only other guy I knew despite whatever hardships always tried to stay positive and wanted others to feel comfortable and happy.   The more life experience I've gained the more I respect these attributes.

Rest in peace buddy.  Going to miss you!  My thoughts are with you, your son, and family and friends.

Tim grew up next door to my family in Wellesley Ma along with his brothers and sister. He was a happy and friendly child.  A delightful child. My whole family sends their condolences and prayers to Ruth and family. Such a sadness. Your are all in our thoughts. Along with happy thoughts about our dear Timothy.

As a college student in Boston I was fortunate enough to spend significant time with Bob and Ruth's family and they were a wonderful second family for me.  I had the pleasure Tim on a scouting trip or two, trick-or-treating and other activities.  Tim was always a sweet, kind and wonderful person. My heartfelt condolences to Aunt Ruth, Tim's family and friends.

Once upon a time, I was a lonely child feeling overwhelmed and out of place in a new school.  Then, I met Tim.  Then, I wasn't so lonely anymore.  Tim's generosity and warmth helped me find my confidence.  From Tim, I learned how to be unapologetically authentic.  His infectious smile and dry wit made my youth a much happier time.  I remember when Tim developed an identity based on  the comic book hero, The Punisher, although his version was The Pun-Issuer.  Only he could pull that one off.  I smile now to think of Tim, reunited with his dad, and probably talking movies with Karloff and Lugosi.  Farewell, my friend.  You made the world a better place.   

I remember getting a babysitting gig for Tim, Pat and Bill after Aunt Ruth and Uncle Bob moved to Indianapolis.  They were going out of town for a weekend, so I stayed with the boys.  Aunt Ruth left me with lots of instructions and meals- all which were quickly abandoned.  The junk food came out, and I quickly discovered I was not really going to be in charge.  Tim lobbied hard for me to take him to the comic book store.  He advised that I could stay in the car and circle the block, as he was just going to do a quick in-and-out.  My memory serves that his quick in-and-out was a good hour or more!  :-)  

When we were kids and ever since, anytime I saw Tim, he was wearing a smile.  May we all be inspired by his kind, gentle manner.  Rest in peace, Tim.  And sending much love to you, Aunt Ruth, and to Bob, Brita, Pat and Bill and your families.  

Remembering many reunions and being connected with the family even though  long distances separated us.  Looking forward to a time we can all be together in this life or the next.

Tim Durbin was an excellent Park Tudor student. We could count on him to do the right thing at the right time, and do so as a gentleman.

Tim will be greatly missed by so many friends on-line.  He was an important presence on Facebook where his film discussions, his reviews, his opinions and recommendations all meant a great deal to other cinephiles.  I met Tim at a convention in Louisville, KY: Wonderfest, a modelmakers/model collectors event which also attracts a variety of authors, film fans, performers, and history and science-related people.  Tim, of course, fit in effortlessly with every type of fan there!  I talked about vintage films with Tim at Wonderfest and we continued our friendship on Facebook thereafter, both on his film pages and via private messaging, where we discussed his life, his family and his illness.  Tim was a quiet, thoughtful man, so kind to everyone who met him, and to me he was a valuable and dear friend.  My sympathy goes out to his family and to his many other friends.

Tim was a dear friend!  My son and I will miss him dearly.   He helped me get through some very challenging times.  I will forever we greatful for his friendship. My love and prayers are being lifted up for his family.

I am a first cousin to Tim.  When he spoke at his father's funeral Mass, he was articulate and charming.  I remember feeling that no one could have expressed themselves more eloquently.  As soon as I thought I knew Tim, he would surprise me with another talent.

I worked with Tim at Meritain Health for the last several years. Though we never met in person, living in different states and teleworking, I can honestly say that he was one of the best coworkers I've known. Super-friendly, conscientious, and helpful. A good person, and we miss him.
