He was born in Amsterdam, New York on February 16, 1925. Arthur was a distinguished World War II Veteran, receiving the Bronze Star Medal for great bravery in a combat zone. Arthur received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering at Brooklyn Polytechnical Institute. Arthur had a long career in electrical engineering with such firms as Westinghouse, Ford Instrument, Paramount, Grummand and Kollsman Instruments. Arthur became a consultant, designing major electrical and optical systems for Boeing and the FBI. Arthur had a great passion for photography and writing articles for his community newsletter.
Arthur is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Bauman Schlang and former wife, Audrey Schlang. Arthur is survived by his daughter, Amy Anderson; son-in-law, Joseph Hudoklin; grandson, Michael Anderson; stepchildren, Louise Boyarsky and Robert Bauman; grandchildren, Mitchell and Samuel Boyarsky, and Deborah Rosen; and his niece, Robin Hershey.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Lake Lindsey Cemetery in Brooksville, Florida. A celebration of life will be held from 1:30-4:30pm at the family’s home in Brooksville.
