

Roy was born on May 23, 1929, to Roy and Grace (Litcombe) Lawson in Buffalo, NY.
Roy was predeceased by his wife, Bess; two daughters, Camille and Gwen; and son David. He is survived by his granddaughter Erika Lawson Mennella; and his dear friend Kay Fullerton of Overland, Kansas.
Roy enlisted with the US Army in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 1, 1949. For his service in Korea he received the Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, the Clasp to Good Conduct Medal, and the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars. Roy was honorably discharged on May 28, 1954.
Roy worked over 30 years as an electrical engineer at Texas Instruments, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed several hobbies over the years including ham radio, building and flying radio-controlled airplanes, and building rideable railroad cars.
At Roy's request there will be no funeral or memorial service. His remains will be interred at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
