Shirley B. Banks

She was born in Houston, Texas on January 18, 1930. Shirley graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1948.

She was married to Duane B. Downey and they had 4 children together and were married for 23 years.

Shirley had a career in Corporate Payroll Services for ADP for a number of years and retired at 70 years of age.

She was a member of many organizations throughout her life, and had a passion for being on the water, long car trips for vacations, and volunteering at her church, Memorial Baptist.

She is survived by her children Mike Downey, Connie Moore, Janie Johnson, and her grandchildren Paula, Amanda, Cynthia, Jennifer (husband Jonathon), Justin, Catherine and Elizabeth, Joshua (wife Jessica), Megan (husband Kurt), Melody, Dylan, and her great grandchildren Paige, Kaylee, Madison, Vivian, Lawson, Lakelyn, Rylie and Kyler, and sister Betty Johle.

Preceded in death: husband, Paul Banks; daughter, Debbie Keefer, and great grandson, Ledger Satterfield.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 am, August 27, 2024, at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery Houston, TX.
