He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, uncle, and cousin, as well as a great friend to the many he called friends for over 60+ years. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories, and, with his great sense of humor making those around him laugh. He touched countless lives through his kindness, love, and being there for those that were part of his life.
Marvin was born in Brooklyn, NY, but lived most of his life in South Florida, spending the majority of his adult years as a Restauranteur in the family restaurant business of Danny’s Restaurant. After the family business closed in the late 90’s, he explored opportunities in private investigation and then customer support services working with his nephew, which he loved.
Marvin found the love of his life, Linda Segel, after 40 years from the first time they had met in high school, and spent 19 glorious years with her, enjoying life, love, and good times with friends.
After Linda’s passing in 2020, he went to live with his children, where he lived out the remaining years of his life, enjoying watching his grandchildren grow, watching and bantering about sports with son-in-law, and his favorite time was family dinners.
He is lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Wendy Olivier and Nicole Longo, his beloved grandchildren, Chase and Bailey Longo and Ariana and Elli Olivier, his two sons-in-law, Lyle Olivier and Kent Longo, his two nephews and their families, Ron and Ken Denman, and many other family and friends. He will be deeply missed but will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family is grateful for the many expressions of love and support during this time and ask that Marvin be remembered for the joy, generosity, and compassion he shared throughout his life.
His life will be celebrated with a funeral service on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 12:30 PM ET at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo Kendall Memorial Gardens, 5900 SW 77 St., Miami, FL 33143, followed by a cemetery service at 2pm at Mount Nebo Miami Cemetery, 5505 NW 3rd St., Miami, FL 33126, where he will be joined next to his beloved Linda Segel, the love of his life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be left in his honor to the Watson Clinic Foundation. Watson Clinic is where he had all his doctors who took such great care of him over his last years.
