Luigi grew up on an olive orchard where he harvested olives - and fruit - and brought them to a market in Fondi, Italy, via horse drawn carriage where he met his loving wife of 67 years, Filomena Di Cicco-Renzi. Luigi and Filomena immigrated to New York and had three children, Elizabeth, Renzo, and Rosemarie and earned his bread in the auto industry and was well known for his craftsmanship working with wood.
Luigi was a dedicated husband and father and was a grandfather to six boys, and four great grandchildren, who went by the name Nonno. He loved his family, wine, laughing, singing and had a passion for horses.
