Lucy B. Martz, 93, of West Palm Beach, FL suddenly passed away of natural causes in the arms of her son Michael on January 30, 2024. She had a sharp mind and excellent memory until her death. Her loss was completely unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened.
Lucy was born on August 23, 1930, to Stella and Alessandro Leonardo in Albany, NY. She was an only child. She worked as an administrative assistant at the Army recruiting station in Albany, NY. Lucy was a devout Catholic. She accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a perpetual smile. She had immense passion for her family, friends, and pets. Lucy was outgoing and loved to travel, go out to eat, and meet new people.
Lucy married Harry E. Martz on October 22nd, 1955, in Albany, NY at Albany Cathedral. Lucy was an exemplary mother and human being. Lucy was predeceased by husband Harry E. Martz, Sr., who died January 26, 2012. Harry was Seaman 1st Class, U.S. Navy during World War II and was a manager at Firestone. She is survived by her two sons Harry and Michael Martz, daughter in-law Lalaine Martz, and grandchildren Adriana Martz, and Alessandro Martz.
In 1988, Lucy, her husband Harry, and son Michael moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her father, husband, children, grandchildren (Adriana & Alessandro), countless friends, and pets.
Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her family and friends who loved her deeply.
