Survivors include his son Tom, son Jim and his wife Cathy, son Ed, son George and his wife Debbie, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his younger brother John, and his daughter-in-law Julie (wife of Tom). Gene and Carol were wed on April 10, 1950, and were married for nearly 70 years.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday June 15, 2021 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 12735 W. 58th Ave, Arvada, Colorado. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the same location. His funeral service will also be held at St. Joan of Arc the following day, June 16, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. Gene will be laid to rest at Arvada Cemetery.
