Sharon Kay Wright

Sharon Kay Wright, 62, of Staunton, was called home by Christ, on July 12, 2021 at the Hospice of the Shenandoah Hospice House. Miss Wright was born on January 30, 1959 in Waynesboro, and was a daughter of the late Robert Withers Wright and the surviving Shirley Ann (Marshall) Wright. Sharon loved spending time with her family and her cats. She was a very talented artist. In addition to her mother, Sharon is survived by her sons, Joel Craig of Staunton, Jeremy Craig and wife Victoria of Stuarts Draft, Bobby Craig of Waynesboro; siblings, Lisa Marie Nuckols of Staunton, Larry Lee Wright and wife Lori of Waynesboro, Robert Withers Wright and wife Kathy of Waynesboro, Terry Dale Wright of Waynesboro; granddaughter, Penelope Craig; lifelong friend, Jerry Craig; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Lane Wright. A graveside service will be held on Friday July 16, 2021 at Riverview Cemetery 10 AM with Pastor Dale Wood officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Augusta Regional SPCA, 33 Archery Lane, Staunton VA 24401.
