Malcolm J. McLeod, 67 of Markle passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at his residence. He served in the United States Coast Guard. Malcolm had worked at Plibrico, Baerfield Thru-way Race Track and Jonny-On-The-Spot, retiring in 2016. Malcolm was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, and loved spending time with his grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Hunter, Ashlee, Haiden, Hallie and River. He was born on February 23, 1954 in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan, the son of the late John and Bonnie (Williams) McLeod. He was united in marriage to Brenda Wass on April 22, 1972 in Fort Wayne. Brenda Survives. Additional survivors include two sons: Jeremy McLeod of Fort Wayne, Adam McLeod of Bluffton; a daughter: Jodi (Stanley) Thomas of Fort Wayne; a brother: Bruce (Carol) McLeod of Fort Wayne and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Jeannie Skipper, Cindy McLeod and his stepfather: Warren Geise. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s guidelines for mask’s, social distancing and social gathering limits. In lieu of flowers Malcolm would like you to plant a tree in his memory or memorial donations can be made out to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
